I’m excited to be welcoming the talented Mina Lobo to July Fever
She’s giving away a $25 Amazon GC to one lucky winner. To enter the draw, simply leave a comment and your email address. Over to you, Mina 🙂
For my July Fever entry, I thought I’d do something a little different. I mean, yeah, I’ve got a book coming out this fall and, sure, I’d love it if y’all would check it out and buy it, and whatnot, but you know, it’s summer. Summer’s made for beaching, and boozing, and booty-shaking. So, for your listening and viewing pleasure, I present some tuneage, below, that’s guaranteed to give me a “fever.” Whether it’s the lyrics and/or music, whether alt rock, new wave, or synth rock, these songs really do it for me. And HOW.
(Nudge, nudge, wink, wink, say no more.)
(They make me feel all sexy/twitchy/horny, is what I’m sayin’.)
Anyway, mix yourself up a pitcher of cocktails and let these play on in the background as you surf the Interwebs, write a blog post, answer some e-mails, work on your novel, or do a bit of online shopping. Or, you know, if the music moves ya, do a bit of rump shaking of your own. 😉
(Please Note: Some videos are absolutely not safe for work!
Or small children. Or your parents.)
Or small children. Or your parents.)
Closer ~ Nine Inch Nails(Explicit Lyrics & Video – Extremely Unsafe for Work)(And a little bit gross, just sayin’.)
(OK, it segues into Bad Girls, but then,
it had dancing cops in it, which I thought y’all might enjoy.)
(God knows I did.)
(Y’all, I haven’t the words to expresshow hawt I find the male dancer in this video.)(Well, I have the words, but they’re all very naughty, indeed.)

Mina Lobo is Some Dark Romantic. She has a lot of Scorpio action going on in her natal chart, which makes for a rather sybaritic and lust-driven Sagittarian. Mina aims for a wildly successful future as a writer of dark and whimsical romance while dodging the slings and arrows of her outrageous teenaged son, who’s buggered off to college (hence the “Lite” in her Twitter handle). She enjoys comedic horror and alt rock, goth, & new wave music, as well as quality Belgian chocolates.

There are some great songs here – thanks for commenting, bn100 🙂
You have some of my favorite songs up there, and that’s about all INXS, Duran Duran, NIN, Finger Eleven, and Godsmack have in common. Except…awesome video choices 😀
I’m totally in love with the FInger Eleven one too! Thanks for commenting 🙂
