Fantastic boxed set on offer – from Tracey Alvarez

Due South boxed set – only $0.99 (usual retail price $7.99)

If you like heartwarming, sexy and sweet small-town romances with a touch of comedy, you’ll love sharing the journey with these authentic men and women struggling to find their special someone.

The Due South bundle contains the first five books of Tracey Alvarez’s best-selling series set against the stunning backdrop of Aotearoa, New Zealand.

The first 5 Due South Books (over 1500 pages) included in this bundle are:

In Too Deep (Book #1)
Two hearts. A second chance. Everything on the line…
To save her brother from financial ruin, police diver Piper Harland does the one thing she swore she’d never do—return to the tiny island hometown on Stewart Island where Ryan “West” Westlake crushed her heart. West lost Piper once, but now she’s back for an unexpected six week visit. Maybe he wants her a little bit, but can he fall in love with such a flight risk? Saying goodbye the second time might just destroy them both.

Melting Into You (Book #2)
They’ll either melt or raze their lives to the ground…
Ben Harland is, by his own admission, a bit of a grouch. He doesn’t do soppy chick-flicks and he’s hen-picked enough as it is with his mother and two younger sisters on his case. He sure doesn’t need any more drama in his world. But life has a way of rearing up and biting him in the butt when he least expects it. Cue insta-daddyhood to an eight-year-old girl and an out-of-control attraction to Stewart Island’s hot school teacher, Kezia Murphy.

Ready To Burn (Book #3)
Watch the sparks fly as they burn it up in the kitchen…
Shaye Harland desperately wants the role of Due South’s head chef, but the far too sexy Del Westlake muscles in and steals it. A reality TV show plans to feature Del at his estranged father’s restaurant—jump-starting his ruined reputation and career in the States—but will the sparks flying in the kitchen burn his chances of ever becoming Shaye’s Mr. Perfect?

Christmas With You (Book #4)
The Kiwi barbecue isn’t the only thing sizzling this summer…
Carly Gatlin’s doesn’t want to spend another Christmas alone since her father died the year before. She’s come to Stewart Island in New Zealand to spend the holiday with her stepfamily, though she feels more of a Christmas Grinch than filled with good cheer. Kip Sullivan’s big, boisterous family have also arrived en-masse—someone just shoot him before his match-making relatives get out of control. Kip agrees to make Carly’s first Kiwi Christmas special, but will he gain more than mistletoe kisses from the woman who threatens to claim his heart?

My Forever Valentine (Book #5)
Love small town romance and Happily Ever Afters?
Dive into the Due South world to find out what your favourite characters are doing to celebrate Valentine’s Day with these four short and sweet romance stories.
Intended for mature 18+ aged readers.

Praise for the Due South series!

Excerpt  – From Ready To Burn

One second Del stood beside her all moody and mysterious, and the next, his hands gripped the railing on either side of her hips. He moved fast–fast enough that she made an embarrassing little eep-ish squawk. Nowhere to go unless she became flexible enough to do a flip over the wooden railing.

Shaye yanked her hands from her pockets and gave his chest a shove. “Back off.”

Even after she added her sous chef do it now or die glare, he stayed, big and bad and way too close. He continued watching her with dark and unreadable eyes, his nostrils flaring slightly as he breathed.

Her hands didn’t know what to do. She couldn’t put them back on those two hard pecs, since every single nerve-ending had soaked up the heat burning through Del’s shirt and transmitted swoony, oh yeah sighs into her brain.

Stupid nerve-endings. Stupid brain.

She wriggled her bottom, so she half sat on the railing, arching away from him. “What are you doing?”

“Showing you the reason.”

The rough timbre of his voice stroked over her. Wickedly dark, decadently rich, scarily addictive. Like chocolate, the quality stuff made of eighty percent pure cacao.

He leaned forward, his face level with hers. “It’s a compelling reason.”

Shaye’s hand shot out to grip his biceps–that or topple backward–but God, he felt amazing. All hard, sinewy muscle and why the hell couldn’t she unhook her fingers?

Her breathing hitched, high and ragged. “My sister’s a cop, and I know how to defend myself.”

“So, show me your ninja moves.”

“Daring a cornered woman to hurt you isn’t very bright.”

One of his hands rasped off the wooden railing and touched the end of her ponytail. He selected a strand and stroked it down her jaw. Shaye licked her lips, unable to suck her gaze from his mouth, which angled closer. Close enough that she could tell the flavor of the last handful of potato chips he’d eaten.

Salt and vinegar. Her favorite.

She strained upward to see if he tasted as good as he smelled…Freaking hell–

Shaye reared back a little, hair slipping from his fingers, her chin narrowly missing his. “Are you going to kiss me?”

Her heart gave a little bunny-hop at the thought and leaped around her ribs.

“Not unless you ask real nice.”

“Ask you?” There was that damn smirk of his again. She should’ve guessed he was playing with her. “When pigs fly.”

A muscle ticked in his jaw, but the smile didn’t falter. “Now you’ll have to say, ‘Please, Del. With a cherry on top.’”

“I’d jam that cherry up your nose before I’d kiss you, Hollywood. Get outta my face.”

His gaze dipped once to her mouth then flicked up. “I can’t go anywhere while you’re grabbing onto me.”

I’m delighted to welcome Rosanna Leo to my blog today.

Thanks very much to Sofia for hosting me today as I continue my blog tour for my latest paranormal romance release, Night Lover.

Night Lover is different from my other paranormal romances. My readers know me for my shape shifters, gods and selkies. The stories are usually light-hearted (to a degree) and there is always a happy ending. This book ends happily as well, but the journey is a different one. That is because the heroine’s adversary/anti-hero is also very different.

My heroine Renata is under the spell of an incubus, a sexual demon. In researching the legend of the incubus, I came across an interesting theory: that an incubus can only feed off a victim who “allows” him in to some extent. Much like a vampire who cannot enter a house without an invitation, an incubus can only wield power over someone who welcomes him.

Now, this can sound controversial. Even in my book, I talk about the reprehensible practice of blaming a victim for being attacked. But in this world of the supernatural, we’re not dealing with human law. We’re dealing with emotions and dark desires. When Renata welcomes a new power into her life, desperate for romance and a way out of her grief, she never dreams an incubus will answer her call.

And as it’s quickly pointed out to her, he understands her deepest fears. He knows the chink in her armor and recognizes all her vulnerabilities.

Can she possibly fight a demon who knows her better than she knows herself?

I hope you will read Night Lover to find out the answer.

Night_Lover-Rosanna_Leo-500x800    Canadian soprano Renata Bruno is tired of waiting for her big break. Unfortunately, her boss, the conductor of a chamber ensemble, sees her as little more than background material. When she learns of an opportunity to sing solo with a different troupe in England, she knows she must seize it. Especially when she hears the group is to perform Mozart’s Requiem, her favorite work.

As soon as Renata decides to make her move, a strange, sultry presence invades her life. She begins dreaming of a man, one who makes love to her, bewitching her. It isn’t long before her night lover leaves startling proof of his nocturnal presence, making her doubt her senses.

To compound her discomfort, she learns her new conductor is the college boyfriend who broke her heart years ago. As Renata grapples with old hurts and renewed passion, she must also fend off the increasingly fervent advances of her night-time visitor. She realizes she is under the influence of an incubus, a sexual demon.

It becomes harder to resist the incubus when she learns he has a name and had a tragic history. The more she discovers about his past, the more she realizes they are linked in more ways than one. Renata begins to rediscover love and her sense of faith, but will it be enough to save her night lover from an evil curse? And will it destroy her in the process?

Cover teaser

When I saw the face in this painting, I gasped, feeling as if someone had punched me in the gut.

It was the portrait of a man, much in the style of a Gainsborough painting. Full-length, it displayed the man in Regency dress. Tall Hessian boots reached up over his pants, accentuating his height. A waistcoat peaked out from under his soft blue riding coat. I looked up to the face above the coat, clean-shaven and somehow boyish with its round features. His hair was the color of honey and quite curly, with long sideburns travelling down his cheeks. Although he bore a fashionably serious countenance, his blue eyes smiled.

It’s him.

The man from my recurring dream, the man from the theater mezzanine in Toronto. I blinked several times, not believing my eyes.

I couldn’t move. I returned the stare of the man in the portrait. A friendly face, it still managed to unnerve me. The artist must have been a master because its subject seemed to be looking right at me. His pale eyes bore into mine. As I continued to gaze at my dream man, other objects in the background began to blur. The portrait frame and the wallpaper behind him dissolved into nothingness. I could only make out the man, and his gaze seemed to issue me a challenge, daring me to look back at him. My head swam. My tongue grew thick. Pain shot through my stomach and I clutched it so I wouldn’t keel over.

Lizzy came out of nowhere and bounded up behind me. “What’s up? Ooh, he’s cute.” She, too, had noticed the portrait. She also saw how intently I stared. “Hey, are you okay?”

“No.” I couldn’t look away from him, couldn’t stop myself from raking my gaze over every painted inch. “It’s him. The man from my dream.”

“Yeah, right.” She frowned.

Finn walked up to us and put a hand on my back, oblivious to my shock. “So you’ve found the lord of the manor.”

“Hugh Dawlish, scion of Dawlish Manor. The women in the ensemble love this portrait because they think he’s, ah…easy on the eyes. So, shall we rehearse?”

I let him lead me away, but I couldn’t stop looking back at Hugh Dawlish’s portrait.

He was real. Not a wraith from my imagination.

Real. And dead.

Lizzy elbowed me. “You look like you’re going to pass out.”

“I’m fine.”

As we left the room, I looked back once more. The eyes of Hugh Dawlish followed me. I shivered.

A slight smile played on his lips.

Excerpt from What If…

He tossed his jacket onto the library ladder and, walking up behind me, wrapped his arms around my waist. After lifting the thick tresses of my hair, he tenderly kissed the nape of my neck.

“You have the most delectable neck,” he said.

“Thank you.” My voice was slightly breathless at the erotic sensation of his lips raining gentle kisses along my sensitive skin.

After unbuttoning my blouse, his palm roamed underneath the fabric of my shirt, brushing against the small of my back. I couldn’t stop myself from sighing, the warmth from his hand sent shivers of sheer pleasure racing through my body.

“I love the way you look. I love the way you taste.”

He growled into my ear, and I moaned when he nipped at my earlobe.

God, he was driving me crazy.

I was on fire.

Yanking my aroused body against the hard planes of his chest, Carter shifted his position, shoving his hands inside my blouse, unfastening the clasps of my white cotton bra with his nimble fingers, my breasts spilled into his huge hands, and my bra fell to the floor.

“Would you like me to stop?” He removed my shirt in one swift motion and throwing it into the desk chair before rolling it out of our way.

His fingertips raked lightly across the darkened buds of my nipples, and I gasped out loud with pleasure, arching my back.

“I could let you get back to your reading.” He leaned forward to take another nibble of my earlobe. “I know how much you love reading in my library. In fact, I filled the shelves with you in mind.” Carter’s hot breath blew against my flushed skin.

I shivered, an involuntary response which couldn’t be controlled. I closed my eyes and groaned, hearing the sound of his deep masculine chuckle.

Two can play this game. I tilted my head back, resting it against the bulk of his shoulder. I began to shift my body provocatively, rubbing myself up against him, the rounded curve of my ass brushing seductively against his crotch. When he released a guttural groan, I smiled with satisfaction.

Carter whirled me around to face him, unbridled passion blazing in his eyes as he captured my mouth with his own. A fire raged through me, and I grabbed onto the collar of his shirt, bunching the material in my hands. I groaned into his opened mouth, clinging to him. Reluctantly, I released the hold on his collar and started unbuttoning it instead.

After ending the kiss, he grinned. “You greedy wench.” When he brought his wicked mouth down once again to worship my exposed breasts, I thought that I might die from the sheer pleasure of it. He unbuttoned my jeans, his hands reaching inside the denim and cupping the bare cheeks of my ass.

When I moaned, his fingers threaded through the belt loops of my Levis and shoved them down around my ankles. Stepping out of my jeans, I giggled when once again, his hands found my ass. Then he lightly smacked me, the brief stinging sensation on that particular part of my anatomy shocking me for a split second.

He had never spanked me before.

When he started exploring me with his fingers, I went weak. My legs buckled, and I squealed with surprise as Carter swept me up into his arms and carried me over to his desk.

I protested when he gently laid me down on the glass top. But he quickly silenced my concern with another kiss, a kiss which had my mind reeling and left me gasping for air. I released a groan of frustration when his mouth momentarily left mine.

He gave me the self-satisfied smile of a man who knew without a doubt that he had made me wet and wanting. “Would you like to see the rest of my library?”

“I would like to see something, but that’s not it,” I murmured with a suggestive wink, reaching for the fly of his slacks.

Lucas Wade is losing his sight. As the darkness threatens to swamp him, the one bright spot in his day comes in the form of Natalie Fontaine. She works in the sales office, hundreds of miles away, and she alone treats him like a regular guy. She has no idea about his disability, and he doesn’t plan on telling her about it.

But if Lucas can’t be honest with her, Natalie may never see the love he has to offer.

Sian solved the mystery for him when she strolled past his desk to ask him about a meeting. “What’s this?” She picked up the Frisbee and examined it. “How sweet. You know I’m going to ask, but who’s Natalie?”

“Huh?” What did Natalie have to do with the Frisbee?

“Have fun with Molly. Thanks for saving my customer. Natalie.” He heard the smile in Sian’s voice, as she deciphered the writing. “Would that be Natalie in the Auckland office? The account manager? What’s her surname… Fountain?”

“Fontaine.” His voice was gruff. “Natalie Fontaine.” Warmth bloomed in his chest. It was just a gesture; it sure as hell didn’t mean anything. But yeah, it was nice of her.

Sian was speaking, and he hastened to listen. “What did you do for her, Lucas?”

“Oh, just a bit of juggling. Nothing much.” He didn’t mind Sian as much as the others—she wasn’t quite so irritating—but he still didn’t feel like chatting to her about Natalie Fontaine or why she’d sent him a thank you present. Would Sian take the hint and leave?

It seemed not. “She’s the one with the French accent, isn’t she?”

She has the most beautiful voice in the world. “Does she? I hadn’t noticed.”

Helpful Dave decided to join in. His head popped up like a meerkat’s.

“Natalie Fontaine? She likes talking to Lucas. Does she know about—”

“About what?” Lucas cut him off mid-sentence. “About what, Dave?” The challenge had been issued, the gauntlet thrown down. “About the fact that I work damn hard and do a good job?” He curled his fingers around the edges of his keyboard.

Silence hung between them. Sian was the first to crack. “I’ve got…uh…a meeting. Catch you later.”

He could feel Dave staring at him over the partition. Go on. Say it. Does she know I’m as good as blind? A fuckin’ cripple? Say it.

Dave cleared his throat. “Nothing, mate. I can’t remember what I was talking about.”

New Release – Isabella’s Airman – coming out 4 June 2015

“Student Gillman.” The sentinel sounded annoyed, and I turned slowly to face him. “Make your report.”

What good would my report do? What difference would it make? All my life I’d planned to be an historian, but not anymore. “These aren’t just names and numbers on a page. Not now. They’re flesh and blood. They have dreams and hopes. They fall in love.” I stumbled over the words. “I can’t go back to pretending it’s just history. It’s real now.”

“Well done, Student Gillman. That is an accurate, if emotive, assessment. I am pleased to see you are extending your studies.”

I stared in disbelief. It was as though I’d said nothing. I drew in a shaky breath and pushed to my feet. “I can’t do this. Not today, not ever. I want to leave.”

The sentinel cocked his head as though he hadn’t heard me.

“I want to leave,” I repeated, louder. “I know you can authorize an emergency portal. I can’t stay here.”

Something like amusement flitted across his face before his mask slammed back into place. “Emergency portals are for emergencies. Critical injuries. I don’t see you bleeding out, Student Gillman.”

I was injured on the inside. I’d never be whole again.

Time travel student Isabella Gillman is about to embark on her most challenging assignment–leaping back to 1941 to observe World War II. The rules are simple: don’t get emotionally involved, and don’t interfere.

She breaks the first rule when she falls in love with rear-gunner Davy Porteous. The second is on its way out as well, when she realizes history says he won’t survive the war. Torn between the fundamental laws of her society, and the man she loves, Isabella faces a harsh reality: does she risk both their lives for a future that may not happen?

She can’t predict the results if she corrupts the timelines, but without her actions, Davy is out of time.
