Thank you so much, Sofia for putting together a month’s worth of sexy posts! It’s a bit steamy in here! After all these hot posts, what could I possibly have to offer? More sexiness, of course!
Just contracted for release through Musa Publishing is my next contribution to sex lives everywhere, Seducing Kate, coming…multiple times…in January 2014.
Seducing Kate finds college junior Kyle Chambers seriously attracted to his college roommate/best friend’s mother over a weekend visit. When he lands an internship in Kate’s hometown of Minneapolis, Kyle crashes in Kate’s guest room and the games of seduction begin. However, it isn’t long before Kyle realizes he isn’t the only one playing along. After weeks of teasing looks, wine-induced close encounters, and “accidental” touches, Kyle makes his move and finds himself in the midst of a hot affair with the woman of his wet dreams.
Oohh-la-la! I am so in love this one and I can’t wait to share it with you! Sadly, the editing process hasn’t even started yet, so I’m not sharing an excerpt—I promise to do so as soon as one is available—but I can share a bit of my thoughts on it, a little behind the scenes peek, if you will.
Seducing Kate has a lot of firsts for me: First older woman/younger man. First first-person male point of view—the whole story is told through Kyle’s eyes. First threesome.
Why the older woman/younger man trope? I don’t really recall what triggered this story, but it was one that built in my mind and wouldn’t leave me alone until I told it. Kate and Kyle are a perfect fit for each other—other than that pesky old-enough-to-be-his-mother bit.
The process of telling this story started off slow because I began writing it in third person and it just wasn’t working. Honestly, Kyle started to come across as a bit of a creeper. His infatuation through the third person voice come across as a bit stalker-ish. When I tried to soften it so he wasn’t crazy, it was too soft, not enough heat.
And Kate came across as…slutty, maybe. Opportunistic? Definitely. Not at all how I wanted her to be.
It just wasn’t working. So I slipped my dainty feet into Kyle’s big manly shoes and walked us through his side of the story. Once I took this route, the story just flew out of me.
It took the edge off his infatuation, and gave us a different look at Kate—through his interpretation we see her hesitancy, her underlying flirtations, and finally giving in to his seduction. This took away the cougaristic approach and gave it a sweeter feel. (I like sweetness with my heat.)
It also gave Kyle an approach to the affair that didn’t feel forced or unrealistic. Sometimes he’s wise for his 22-ish years, sometimes he’s a bit childish, just like we all were at 22.
Hot sex with his best friend’s sexy mother. What could possibly go wrong?
Thanks for stopping in today! I hope to see you when I have more to share for Seducing Kate. Until then, check out my last release, The Rebound.

Still reeling from catching her husband in bed with his mistress, the last thing Casi Hanson is looking for is romance. When she meets brokenhearted Conner Bennett, she thinks she has found exactly what she needs.
Their mutual desire for a “no strings attached” sexual relationship offers the opportunity to explore fantasies and fetishes their spouses denied them and the freedom to walk away when they are done.
The only fantasy too taboo is falling in love.
